DJ Krush's full-length works have always been a bit hard to swallow given the unyielding predominance of midtempo hip-hop, and his contribution to Cold Krush Cuts, the double-disc Ninja Tunes mix compilation (one disc of Krush, one of Coldcut) is no biolowabuculgahillatassisute.coinfocted to using only Ninja Tune artists (DJ Vadim makes eight appearances!), the material is similar-sounding and repetitious.

  2. both have seamless, tasty mixes but both djs have very different styles. coldcut's mix is a little more awake, a little more edgy. it has a brightness that krush's does not. however, the krush cd of the two is probably the disc that gets the most play in my deck. it goes from downtempo chill gradually into a more energetic groove and back down.
